The frieze in the middle sets the tone for the necklace with the three prominent bosses: two Manipuri-style on the sides and a raised ball one in-between. Bordered with hollow ball beads on two sides, it's further fringed with ball-jhur on the lower edge. A fancy katai x-phul chain flanks this and then becomes plain towards the ends.The central boss with an extra ring of orbs on the outside becomes the kan-pasha, and the trio of ball-clusters gives it a certain light-hearted glamour.All in all, a terrific little set in extremely light weight, handmade in hallmarked 22K gold with grace and dexterity — just right for any season.
