'Rote', not 'Wrought', is what comes to mind when looking at this necklace. Customary katai (square, heart, etc.) arranged in unimaginative rows, spot enamelling of the costume jewellery kind, and that jumble of sand-blasted shapes in the middle with dangling short chains all point towards the kitschy crap being passed off as fine jewellery just by having film stars and sundry celebrities wearing them in advertisements.We're retailing the stuff too, but to call a spade a spade is also the business of Gold Factory. We aren't going to mince words here: this is forgettable, shamelessly crummy work, put together using mass production techniques with a complete absence of consideration for aesthetics. That's why it's in the Regular Section and offered with huge discounts. What's it got going for it? A certain tedious neatness, its proud banality (can be a boon sometimes), and, not to forget, price !
